Due to its heritage, Hochschule für Gestaltung HfG Ulm Foundation is a stimulating location for the DANUBE FUTURE WORKS Conference. The architectural ensemble as well as the intellectual roots of the foundation provide a most adequate frame for any serious attempt in designing the future.

In 1953 Inge Aicher-Scholl, Otl Aicher and Max Bill founded the Ulm School of Design (HfG) taking up the Bauhaus tradition. The school existed until 1968 and was famous for its progressive and explicitly political approach to design. At the time, it was internationally influential. Since 1979, the ensemble of buildings has been protected as a cultural monument.

The DANUBE FUTURE WORKS Conference is a joint event by the New European Bauhaus on the Danube NEBoD Initiative and NONA, a project funded by the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme.

The DANUBE FUTURE WORKS Conference is supported by the Baden Württemberg Stiftung and more.
